Eid outfits are worn once, photographed a hundred times and then handed down. Getting the size right first time saves a trip to the courier and a last-minute panic. Here is how we size our kurti sets, and how to choose with confidence.
1. Measure height, not age
Children of the same age can be a full size apart. Stand her against a wall without shoes and measure from the floor to the top of her head, then match that number to the chart below.
| Her height | Weight | Order size |
|---|---|---|
| 104–110 cm | 16–19 kg | 4-5Y |
| 116–122 cm | 20–24 kg | 6-7Y |
| 128–134 cm | 25–30 kg | 8-9Y |
| 140–146 cm | 31–37 kg | 10-11Y |
| 152–158 cm | 38–44 kg | 12-13Y |
| 160–165 cm | 47–54 kg | Teen M |
2. Between two sizes? Go up
Our cotton and lawn soften after the first wash, and palazzos are easy to hem. Choosing the larger size gives room to grow without looking loose on the day.
“A size up usually lasts until next Eid.”
3. Check the cut, not just the size
Straight kurtis, like the Zig-Zag Border Suit, fit true to size. Tulip shalwar and farshi styles have more room in the leg, so you can stay with her usual size.
4. Teens: switch to S, M and L
From 13 years our teen styles move to S, M and L. Use the teen rows in the size guide, which go by height and weight rather than age.
